What is Minesweeper?

Minesweeper is a deduction game about clearing a hidden minefield. Every revealed number tells you how many mines sit in the eight neighboring squares, giving you the clues needed to separate danger from safety.

A strong game is a chain of small logical conclusions: mark certain mines, open certain safe squares, then use the new information to continue. The first move is always safe here, so every board begins fairly.

How to play

How to play Minesweeper

  1. Reveal a tile to see how many mines touch it.
  2. Switch to flag mode to mark tiles you believe contain mines.
  3. Use the remaining mine counter to track how many flags are still available.
  4. Reveal every safe tile to finish the board.
